My vocation lies in the placement of images, shapes, colors, and words into arrangements which produce a combined excitement of the intellect and the aesthetic faculties.

My overarching interest is in communication; my skill set represents a synthesis of many different knowledge domains in the pursuit of first-class information presentation. I am an expert in HTML, Photoshop, and the English language.

Education :: I received a BA in Psychology from Marshall University in 1992.

Toolbox :: HTML, CSS, XML/XSLT and PHP. Photoshop. inDesign and Microsoft Word. Visio. Flash. I am equally capable in both Macintosh and Windows environments.

Strengths :: Customizing open source web apps in Linux/PHP/MySQL environments; talking to people about technology; prompt and articulate in email; able to write and edit copy when necessary; substantial print production experience; typography.

I believe it is important to care about the details.

Objective: A creative position in online and printed information design, production, and management.

Employment History :: I have been continuously employed in the field of web development since November of 1995.

I am currently a web producer at the University of Washington. Previously I was employed for more than a year at McCann Relationship Marketing, providing web development services for Microsoft.

From 2000 to 2005 I was with Fluent Communications, a custom publishing company, working for clients such as Toyota Motor Corporation, Gateway Computers, T-Mobile, and Bank of America.
